I’m Logan, a Marketing Specialist with a particular interest in the cultural sector. I’m from New Zealand and have spent the majority of the past decade working in marketing for museums in London.
Before moving to the arts sector, I started my career in advertising where I worked in creative ad agencies as an Account Manager. This experience puts me in a unique position as I have an excellent understanding of what makes a successful campaign from both an agency perspective as well as from a client’s.
I enjoy working on campaigns that set out to reach and engage traditionally underrepresented audiences. I have worked on many marketing campaigns that have prioritised such audiences, including people with various disabilities and access needs, LGBTQIA+ people and people of The Global Majority. This is the kind of work that really motivates me, and that I’d love to do more of, as I strive to make the culture sector more inclusive.
Based on this experience, I am confident in devising marketing strategies and implementing campaigns that require consultation from people with lived experience to ensure that we are accurately representing such communities, giving them a voice, and creating excellent campaigns that reach the right audiences and deliver results.
I am committed to bringing an equitable and inclusive approach to my marketing campaigns and ways of working. I have recently completed an eight-week social justice curriculum focusing on anti-racism and anti-ableism, which has broadened my understanding of the impact that I can have as both a manager and marketer. Additionally, I have been the Inclusive Communications Lead for Wellcome Collection and was a Stonewall LGBTQ+ Leadership delegate in their 2022-23 programme.
